As a nursing assistant, you play an important role in society.

Your workplace and the residents' home are located adjacent to Landala square, a square full of activity and shops. We are embedded in an ordinary residential building shared by public housing, Chalmers student apartments, and a preschool. This creates opportunities for many meetings and community with others.

In your work, you start from the strengths of the resident and utilize the individual's resources. You motivate and stimulate the resident based on their individual conditions in their own home, which is part of the care and nursing home.

Your tasks include everything from personal care, support during meals, encouragement and support in social activities, as well as collaboration with relatives. Some tasks are performed on behalf of licensed personnel. You are also a contact person who helps the resident articulate their needs and wishes.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, can show the Socialstyrelsen certificate for protected professional title, or can demonstrate that you were employed as a nursing assistant when the new regulations were introduced.

Further education in care and nursing is an advantage. Experience from previous care and nursing work is desirable but not a requirement. The job requires computer skills for documentation in IT systems and good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with others.

In your role, you meet many people, which requires you to work together with others to achieve common goals. You should be respectful, open in your meetings, and always have the residents' best interests in focus. The workday can sometimes turn out differently than planned because you work with people, so you maintain calm, balance different demands, and reprioritize your tasks.
