About us

Our health center is located in the middle of Mölnlycke, near Gothenburg with good connections.

Mölnlycke is a growing locality where the health center has about 14,000 registered patients with a mixed population of older residents, families with children, and rural residents.

Närhälsan Mölnlycke includes a health center, child health care, family center, and a clinic for Young Mental Health. We have around 45 employees and provide care for diabetes and asthma/COPD, district nurses, nursing assistants, and a mental health team. We have a stable workforce with short decision-making and communication paths. The building also houses rehabilitation, youth, and midwifery clinics. Child and adolescent medicine is in the neighboring building. We have a well-functioning collaboration with Härryda municipality and also conduct general medical research in collaboration with the University of Gothenburg.

The Young Mental Health team in Mölnlycke consists of psychologists and social workers, totaling seven employees. Children aged 6-18 with mental health issues can turn to us regardless of which health center they are registered with. The unit works to ensure that children and adolescents feel understood and validated. The staff has high competence and experience in working with children and youth. There is good cohesion in the group and close collegial support, even though the work often occurs individually in patient care.

About the job

The Young Mental Health (UPH) team is tasked with providing children and adolescents with mental health issues and their guardians with early and good care. Your duties at UPH mainly consist of making assessments and conducting short to medium-term treatments with children and adolescents with mental health issues. Common problems among patients you will encounter as a psychotherapist include anxiety, depression, and behavioral difficulties.

You will collaborate with other actors such as schools and social services, where you will also participate in SIP meetings. You will be an important contact for parental support both individually and in groups. Treatment interventions for depression, anxiety, and self-harming behaviors, as well as counseling, support, and crisis conversations, are included in the assignment. You will be an important contact for parental support individually and in groups and lead group treatments such as anxiety management, AFFECT, and ABC.

Our starting point is to find solutions together with the patient and family for what they experience as difficult in their daily lives. We collaborate with other professionals in our own units, and it is of great importance that we have a creative and spacious professional environment. The focus is on high quality in clinical work, accessibility, and stepwise care. To meet patients' needs, flexibility in both method and scope is required, which creates conditions for a good working environment and varied tasks.

About you

You are a licensed psychotherapist with a background in social work. You should have at least one year of clinical experience working with children and adolescents with mental health issues. Previous experience in primary care is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and accommodating, with good communication skills and the ability to recognize individuals' unique needs. You work independently and are confident in making your own decisions, while also contributing to development work with initiative and commitment. You have an interest in quality issues and are happy to share your knowledge about mental health in interdisciplinary collaboration.
