About the assignment

We are looking for an archivist for our client in Stockholm for a part-time assignment of 50% starting in mid-January 2026 and lasting until the end of March 2026. The work will take place at the client's office in western Stockholm. Your tasks

The work primarily involves managing the disposal of personal records, but other archive-related tasks may also occur, such as:

• Retrieving and providing information in the form of public documents from physical archives, historical collections, e-archives, and databases
• Conducting disposal investigations regarding which documents should be preserved and what can be disposed of
• Developing strategies for digital long-term storage and preparing for delivery to e-archives
• Creating handling instructions (document management plans)
• Preparing an inventory of archives in the form of a list according to the general archive schema and reporting according to business processes
• Conducting assessments and investigations regarding physical storage of documents
• Carrying out prescribed disposals
• Participating in the establishment of guidelines and governing documents for internal archival work
• Delivering information to the City Archive

Your qualifications

• University education with a degree intended for archivists. The university education must have included at least two semesters of archival science
• Good knowledge of laws and regulations governing public activities and the archivist's function and responsibilities.
• At least three (3) full years of relevant work experience in similar roles
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Experience with document and case management systems (such as Platina or Public 360) is desirable.
• Experience in disposal work
