Description

In January 2025, we opened our short-term accommodation at Byalagsgatan 3 with two units, and in the fall, we will start a third.

Our short-term accommodation accepts adults from 18 years old who have been granted assistance according to the Social Services Act. This may involve individuals who have acquired an injury in adulthood and thus have a temporary increased need for support, care, and rehabilitation, or other life situations that require a person to stay for a period in the short-term accommodation.

Our team consists of nursing assistants, nurses, support pedagogues, a rehab team, and three unit managers who work closely together.

We are now looking for two additional support pedagogues who want to be part of our expansion!

Responsibilities

As a support pedagogue, you have overall responsibility for the pedagogical work in the organization. Your role is to gather and disseminate knowledge about working methods and approaches and ensure that these are used and developed effectively. Together with the workgroup, you establish, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions. In this way, we all become better at understanding needs and providing the right support.

The support pedagogue ensures that social documentation and implementation plans are established, further developed, and followed according to laws and guidelines. You act as support and guide for each individual employee, the workgroup, and you are also support for the manager.

You guide the workgroup based on the organization's needs and methods. Together with your colleagues, you play a central role in the organization's quality development and systematic improvement work.

You are part of a network with other pedagogues and collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other key individuals to ensure that the care recipient receives good care, support, and service. You work transprofessionally with delegated health and medical care interventions together with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nursing assistants.

The workplace is varied and developing, which requires a flexible and situation-adapted working method. Our organization is facing exciting development in the coming year, and we are looking for you who want to be part of our journey. Working hours are scheduled for 38.25 hours and every third weekend.

Qualifications

It is a requirement that you have a post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities that includes at least 200 YH points or 60 higher education credits or a combination in between that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies. The education must have a clear focus on the area of disabilities in its entirety.

It is also a requirement to have several years of experience working as a support pedagogue.

Communication is an important part of the job, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the testing provider Educateit.

We are looking for someone who shows respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You start from everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in meetings with others. You are pedagogical, able to explain problems and information to different recipients and from different perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.

You are collaborative and have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You also need to be structured, set clear goals, and plan activities and projects in good time. You use time effectively and work systematically, organized, and methodically.
