Accounting Economist/Business Controller

About the position

As an Accounting Economist/Business Controller, you will be part of an engaged team where you work closely with the business. The role is broad and combines operational accounting work with analysis and follow-up to drive the business forward. You will be present at the office most of the time, but with some flexibility. The start is planned for the end of January.

Responsibilities

Accounting:

• Reconciliation and bookkeeping of general ledger accounts
• Preparation for reporting (e.g., calculation of expected customer losses, aging of accounts receivable, intercompany reconciliation)
• Accruals and coding in ERP
• Management of fixed asset register (documentation, registration, reconciliation, analysis)
• Support to the accounting manager as needed

Business Controlling:

• Updating weekly KPIs
• Project follow-up and analysis in ERP
• Creating own reports and in-depth analyses to contribute to result development
• Developing analyses in Power BI
• Financial reviews with regional managers
• Participating in improvement and development projects

Suitable background

• Solid experience in accounting and understanding of financial flows
• Experience working independently with analysis and reporting
• Advanced skills in Excel (formulas, troubleshooting, analysis)
• Experience with ERP systems and preferably Power BI
• Experience with year-end closing and accounts receivable management is a plus
