About Solgläntan

Solgläntan is a star-rated care and nursing home located in calm, green surroundings just next to Torslanda Torg. The facility consists of two modern buildings with four floors and offers a total of 71 bright and well-planned apartments. Of these, 47 are intended for general care and nursing, while 24 are adapted for tenants with dementia. Here, safety, proximity to services, and a homely environment where each individual is in focus meet.

The Role of Care Supervisor

As a care supervisor, you work according to the national value base and from a salutogenic approach. In your role, you plan your day based on the needs of the operation. The focus is on providing support and guidance to employees at the care and nursing home. This may involve supervising complex cases involving tenants, relatives, and contact staff. It may also involve raising competence in working with implementation plans or social documentation. Through your network and conversations with various professionals, you have the opportunity to identify and propose training initiatives.

Your working hours are weekdays during the day, but evenings and weekends may also occur. The workweeks are 40 hours, and you have the right to flexible hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained nursing assistant and can show the National Board of Health and Welfare certificate for protected professional title (alternatively can show that you were employed as a nursing assistant when the new regulations were introduced).
• Has vocational training with at least 200 YH credits in care and nursing or higher education that the employer assesses as relevant for the position.
• Has work experience in care and nursing.
• Has work experience in supervising groups and individuals.
• Is computer literate for documentation and deviation management in various IT systems.
• Has good Swedish language skills both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have work experience in dementia.
• Have worked as a care supervisor and have experience with the BPSD register.
• Have trained to become star-rated.

You should be well-grounded in the salutogenic approach and the national value base. The role requires your ability to collaborate to perform tasks and achieve goals. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and always have the tenant's needs as the starting point in your actions. You adapt your communication according to the recipient and situation, both in writing and orally. You are comfortable speaking in front of others and see value in contributing to others' learning, as you lead certain training initiatives.
