About the position

As a registrar with us, you will have overall responsibility for the parish's diary and archive. You will register, follow up, and ensure the quality of documents for the parish and our two congregations, ensure that applicable rules and confidentiality regulations are followed, and keep the document management plan updated. The work also involves retrieving documents upon request, managing annual purging and archiving, and maintaining order and structure in the archive environment.

In addition to diary management, you play an important role in the parish's administrative flows. You will work with bookings, orders, and handle mail. You will also coordinate and proofread the parish newsletter, take minutes at the parish council, and ensure that bulletin boards and information areas are current.

The role also involves being a face to the public. Congregants, elected representatives, and visitors often turn to you with questions or matters – and sometimes just for a brief chat. Meeting people with attentiveness and a warm presence is therefore a natural part of the job. If necessary, you will also cover in the parish's office and support colleagues when work peaks or absences occur.

Good to know

The position is a temporary role expected to last from February 2026 to April 2027. The workplace is both at the Parish House in Huskvarna and Hakarps Congregation House. The recruitment process is handled by AxÖ Consulting, but you will be employed by Huskvarna Parish. Background checks will be conducted during the recruitment process.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, and responsible, with documented experience in diary management or archive handling. Knowledge and understanding of the principle of public access is a requirement, as well as being self-sufficient in your role as a registrar. You learn new systems easily and thrive in a role where tasks vary and where you sometimes need to shift focus quickly.

As a person, you are confident, service-oriented, and professional in your approach. You enjoy meeting people and understand the value of both efficient administration and a friendly presence in the moment. You work independently but also appreciate collaboration with colleagues and elected representatives.

About us

Huskvarna Parish consists of the Huskvarna and Hakarps congregations. We have about 75 employees in parish activities, preschool, cemetery management, and administration.

There are also many volunteers who perform various tasks and contribute with great commitment and significant efforts. The parish is one of the nearly 1300 units of the Church of Sweden across the country. The Church of Sweden has 5.5 million members and is therefore the largest religious community in Sweden.
