As a museum host, you will be part of the public operations team, alongside colleagues who have extensive knowledge of the museum's activities. Together, we work to welcome and meet visitors of all ages, from different backgrounds and with varying needs, to create cultural experiences that touch and enrich.

Do you want to be a part of this?

Main Responsibilities

  • Welcome and meet visitors. Provide good service and circulate in public areas.
  • Convey information about the museum's exhibitions and activities.

  • Conduct tours as needed.
  • Store work and sales as needed.

Qualifications

As a museum host, you focus on the visitor and ensure that all visitors enjoy their time at the museum. The work is varied and includes both intense and quieter periods, depending on visitor flow.

You possess personal maturity and confidence, the ability to prioritize and act quickly in pressured situations. To succeed in this role, you need to be attentive and have a strong ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team.

We place great importance on your personal ability to carry out the tasks required.

In addition, you need to have:

  • Administrative skills to manage tasks with the support of Microsoft 365.
  • Good language skills in Swedish and English.
  • Some experience in giving tours and feeling comfortable speaking in front of groups.

It is an advantage if you also have experience in retail work. An interest in cultural history and art is certainly a benefit in this job.

You will be moving in an environment with a lot of activity, where you will be standing and walking for extended periods, and where high noise levels may occur.

Employment

The position is a full-time temporary position (40 hours per week on average) from March 16, 2026, to August 23, 2027.
