We are now looking for you who want to work as a preschool teacher for a three-month temporary position within the Sergel preschools unit.

Sergel preschools are located in the Northern inner city, and we currently have seven preschools: Klara, Sture, Tule, Svea, Vega, Sirius, and Kejsarkronan. Right now, we are looking for a preschool teacher for a younger children's department at the Kejsarkronan preschool. Kejsarkronan is a three-department preschool located near Odenplan. At all our preschools, we work exploratively with inspiration from Reggio Emilia's pedagogical philosophy.

At the center of our operations are the children; our starting point is their best in everything we do and plan for. At our preschools, children meet creative educators and environments both outdoors and indoors. It is the children's interests, thoughts, experiences, and theories that shape the content of the activities and the design of our environments. An exploratory approach in meaningful contexts also strengthens the children's self-esteem and gives them space to play and develop at their own pace. The children's learning processes are made visible, processed, and further challenged with the help of pedagogical documentation. The unit's staff has a reflective approach, and collegial learning processes are part of our continuous professional development.

Your role

As a preschool teacher, you lead the pedagogical development and are responsible for ensuring that all children receive meaningful, fun, and developmental education. You work to create learning environments that are accessible, creative, and challenging, where children are involved and have influence in their education. To succeed in this work, you have a good knowledge of the preschool curriculum and other governing documents and base your work with the children on them. You are responsible for the work with pedagogical documentation, follow-up, and analysis of each child's development and learning. It is also part of the tasks to, in collaboration with colleagues, be responsible for development talks and written information to parents and guardians.

We are looking for an engaged and solution-focused preschool teacher who drives and takes responsibility for planning, implementation, and evaluation together with the entire team. We believe in shared reflection and collegial learning and therefore provide networks for both preschool teachers and childcare workers. You are open to different perspectives and are expected to want to learn from others and share your knowledge and pedagogical competence with your colleagues.

Your qualifications and experience

• Certified preschool teacher
• Experience with an exploratory approach and aesthetic learning processes
• Experience with pedagogical documentation
• Experience in leading and organizing education in preschool

We are looking for someone who is engaged and has an interest in contributing to children's development and learning. You need to have good collaboration skills and contribute to good cooperation by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. In your professional role, you are development-oriented by being proactive in development work and being innovative and open to different perspectives. You have pedagogical insight and are structured with a good ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively.
