JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant with us, you will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating and patient-focused environment with varied and diverse tasks.

As a nursing assistant, you will work with:

• responsibility for receiving patient visits
• responsibility for bookings, including interpreters and patient hotels
• ordering medical supplies
• collaborating with doctors, paramedics, nurses, and medical secretaries to ensure high-quality care
• sampling and internal phone communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a person who has the ability to plan and structure your work effectively. In meetings with patients and relatives, you are service-oriented and always strive to create safety and a professional approach. You take initiative and drive the work forward while being humble in collaboration with colleagues, patients, and relatives. Your flexibility allows you to handle changes and quickly adapt your approach when the situation requires it.

In the role of nursing assistant, you should:

• be a trained nursing assistant
• be able to communicate in Swedish in both spoken and written form at least at C1 level.

If you have specialized training for nursing assistants and experience working with children and adolescents, this is an advantage. Experience in sampling is also a plus.

Information about the title nursing assistant

As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant will become a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. You can apply for the certificate starting July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare and social services, but with a different title than nursing assistant. In Region Gävleborg, this means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant until your certificate is submitted.

Before an employment offer, the employer has the right to request an extract from the criminal record.
