Job Responsibilities

The units SoL Adults and LSS Adults are looking for someone who wants to investigate the right to support according to SoL and LSS for adults with disabilities in Nordost.

We are recruiting a total of 6 positions, including both permanent positions and temporary contracts. The recruitment is taking place as we have employees going on parental leave or taking the next step within the administration. With us, you will have a meaningful job where creativity, joy at work, and development are encouraged. Your colleagues describe the work as stimulating, responsible, and varied, with both short and long processes, and a clear ambition to develop smarter working methods.

As a social worker, you will meet adults with disabilities, their networks, and legal representatives. You will inform, investigate, assess, make decisions, and follow up on interventions according to applicable legislation in close cooperation with providers, other social services, authorities, and healthcare.

At SoL Adults, you will handle interventions such as home care, housing support, short-term accommodation, and social housing with support. At LSS Adults, you will handle, among other things, daily activities, housing with special services, personal assistance, and housing support according to SoL.

The work involves exercising authority and requires legal security, equitable assessments, and a professional approach. With your knowledge and ability to adapt communication, you contribute to ensuring that individuals receive the support they need to live as independently as possible. Since the work can be complex at times, you need to have good analytical skills, be able to plan your work, and focus on completing what you have started. We provide strong support in your introduction and continued development through initial mentoring, ongoing method supervision from experienced senior social workers both individually and in groups, as well as through the administration's 2.5-year internal training program, Competence Ladder.

Why should you apply to us? Nordost is characterized by a strong commitment to those who live here, and the combination of a socially disadvantaged area and the target group of individuals with disabilities makes the work both important and meaningful. The workplace is known for its unpretentious, helpful, and inclusive climate, where diversity is seen as a strength and where we actively work with, among other things, anti-racism, LGBTQI, AAC, and AI. We have a positive development culture with humor, courage, and a willingness to try new paths. The premises are spacious and centrally located at Angereds Torg 14, close to services, restaurants, public transport, parking, and beautiful green areas.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another higher education (210 credits) that the employer deems equivalent. To work with authority, you must have completed at least 7.5 credits in social law.

You are well acquainted with processing according to LSS and SoL, and we would like you to have experience in exercising authority with investigations, assessments, and implementation of decisions. You also have knowledge of the Local Government Act and the Administrative Procedure Act. Experience with documentation in the operational systems IBIC/Treserva/SAMSA and knowledge and experience of AAC are meritorious.

We are looking for someone who is respectful and takes responsibility for both individual and collective tasks. You work independently and in a group. You remain calm and secure even in pressured situations. You use your analytical skills to quickly understand issues and make well-founded decisions. You are confident in yourself and can convey both favorable and uncomfortable messages in a professional manner. You plan and organize your work effectively, complete tasks on time, and follow up on results.
