Technician for Maintenance of Aids and Technical Support
We are now looking for a technician for the maintenance of aids and technical support at the Aids Central in Borås.

Job Description
Your role as a Technician in the Maintenance department at the Aids Central in Borås involves a varied job as the position is divided into several main areas. A large part of the job will involve the maintenance of aids for medical use, such as ventilators, oxygen concentrators, nutrition pumps, and more. The job also includes technical support via phone, initially averaging one day a week.
Maintenance and inspection of manual aids are also part of the job, such as patient lifts, hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, and hygiene aids.
Maintenance includes, among other things:
- Inspection of patient lifts
- Function control and maintenance of aids
- Installation, adaptation, assembly, and repairs
- Documentation and other administration
- On-call duty, averaging every 6-8 weeks
The work is mainly performed at the patient's location. This can be in the patient's home, at their workplace, or their school. The work is also performed in the workshop together with your colleagues at the Aids Central in Borås.
To provide good service in the role of technician, you need to:
- Have a humble attitude and be empathetic, as a large part of your working time is spent with patients who may be seriously ill
- Have very good collaboration skills as you will have many contact points in the role, such as patients, prescribers, suppliers, colleagues, and internal parties
- Have the ability to switch focus, as you will have several different main areas in the role
- Be proactive and have the ability to see development opportunities
- Good communication skills
You have a vocational technical high school education, or an equivalent technical knowledge through experience. You communicate fluently in Swedish, and your computer skills are very good. You are quick to learn and work in various IT systems. A B driver's license and good driving experience are required for the position. Since the job may involve heavy lifting, you also need to have good physical ability and an ergonomic working method.
Previous experience working with aids, the business system Sesam, and previous work in customer service with a support function is meritorious for the position.

The Aids Central belongs to the Supply Administration within the Västra Götaland Region and is a competence and logistics center for the 49 municipalities, as well as the Västra Götaland Region's own operations. We are located in Borås, Mölndal, Skövde, and Uddevalla.
