Description

We are looking for a part-time school psychologist, 20%, for Vaxö and Rindö schools to work on Tuesdays.

Responsibilities

As a school psychologist at Vaxö/Rindö schools, you will contribute your psychological expertise to the school's student health work at various levels. You should focus on the individual and its entirety while working preventively, promoting, and remedial at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

You will conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of students to provide psychological knowledge about students' learning conditions and support needs. As a school psychologist, you will also provide guidance and consultation to the school's other staff and, if necessary, have supportive conversations with students, guardians, and educators.

You will contribute psychological knowledge regarding protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development, as well as your knowledge of mental health issues. The work at a broader level includes structural work aimed at strengthening the school as an environment for learning, health, and development.

You will also collaborate with, among others, social services, the municipality's unit for collaboration and support, child and adolescent psychiatry, and other healthcare institutions.

You will be part of the school's student health team, which consists of a school nurse, school counselor, special educator, and school management. Together, we develop the school's student health work with a focus on preventive and promoting efforts.

Qualifications

A licensed psychologist is a requirement. You must be able to independently take responsibility for your professional work in collaboration with other professionals in the student health team. You should also be able to collaborate well with the school's educators and other professionals with the student's best interests in mind.

You will be part of a network of psychologists together with the municipality's other school psychologists and receive continuous professional supervision.

Experience working with children and youth, as well as previous experience in the school system, is an advantage.
