Operations Engineer in Water Production

Water is our most important food and the source of all life. In the VA business area, we provide the residents of Eskilstuna and Strängnäs with the water they need daily. VA Production Drinking Water is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of water facilities in Eskilstuna and Strängnäs, and now we need you!

Your Responsibilities

You will enter a modern and technology-intensive environment focused on sustainability, the environment, and innovation. Your workday will be varied, with tasks that you can drive independently as well as those you will work on together with colleagues.

You will:

• Monitor and optimize our operation of water production facilities, where you will also work with follow-up and improvements.
• Lead and be a requirement setter in various projects or when, for example, purchasing new equipment.
• Ensure that we report to authorities on time and that our documentation is correct, contributing to our facilities meeting requirements for operational reliability, environment, workplace safety, and sustainability.

Education and Previous Experience

As an Operations Engineer, you will be an analytical problem solver who enjoys the mix of driving parts independently while having colleagues to bounce ideas off. Since our customers expect us to deliver drinking water around the clock, you need to thrive in a role where you sometimes need to handle urgent situations. You have the ability to prioritize as needed and be flexible when required.

You have:

• A university degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Several years of experience in operation, maintenance, or technical development within VA, process industry, or similar technical areas.
• A valid driver's license (B).
