Your Role

Working with us means being involved from concept and studies to delivery of finished products. This includes handling requirements, developing solutions, such as designing power solutions (AC/DC, DC/DC converters), selecting components, designing wiring, and analyzing problems and troubleshooting.

Our products have high reliability requirements and must function in all types of environments; therefore, you also need to consider the significant mechanical stresses and varying temperatures and environments they are exposed to.

The work is carried out in cross-functional agile teams where collaboration is important, and the team makes its own decisions to quickly arrive at solutions.

The work also involves collaboration with component engineers, production, project management, product management, purchasing, and not least with other development teams.

The group you will belong to works with power and wiring and mechanical design within our command and ground radar systems.

Business Area Surveillance

offers effective solutions for monitoring and decision support, and systems to detect and protect against various types of threats. The product portfolio includes airborne, land-based, and maritime radar systems, signals intelligence and self-protection systems, command systems, as well as systems for maritime and air traffic control.

You will work in the Design Surface Halmstad department, which is responsible for designing and maintaining system installations, primarily various radar and command systems in different types of vehicles. This involves system development, mechanical development, power systems, electronics, and wiring, as well as integration and verification. The department often collaborates with other Design Surface organizations in Gothenburg, both remotely and on-site, so some travel may occur.

Your Profile

You have good knowledge in electrical design and are systematic and meticulous in your documentation work. It is advantageous to have several years of experience in both analog and digital hardware design.

• Knowledge of circuit theory/design, converters, filters, realizing electrical solutions to schematics
• Experience in making design choices using various components, e.g., fuses, relays, connectors, terminals, wiring, etc.
• Proactive, e.g., seeking information and networking
• Experience documenting technical designs
• Structured and quality-conscious
• Enjoy working with varied tasks
• Prefer a team-based working approach
• Bachelor's or master's degree in electronics or equivalent

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
