Your Role

The Avionics area is growing and needs more skilled developers. We are responsible for software loading and data transfer between ground stations and aircraft to transfer maps and flight missions. We are at the heart of Gripen's software development, which provides a good overall picture and understanding of all the aircraft's components.

Within our operations, we develop both software for the aircraft and associated configuration tools. The work is carried out in teams, and we collaborate with both Systems Engineers and Software Engineers. Our development is performed in a Linux environment using tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, Jira, etc.

Main Responsibilities:

• Development in one or more of the languages C++, C#, and Python
• Software testing
• Testing software in real flight simulators
• Design of software architecture
• Reviews and certifications

Depending on who you are as a person, the position can also develop into a team leadership or technical leadership role.

Your Profile

Your Background:

• You have experience and feel confident in the requested programming languages
• A couple of years of work experience
• You have a relevant degree from a college/university
• You are proficient in communicating verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

Meritorious:

• Experience working in teams
• Experience working with complex and safety-critical solutions
• Have worked for a few years as a software developer

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
