Welcome to the Älta principal area - a growing and developing area! The Älta principal area consists of six preschools, three primary schools, and one resource school.

Älta is an expanding area, which means we are growing as a principal area. In August, we opened a new resource school, and now we are looking for a teacher for grades 1-3. Take the chance to develop with us!

Your mission

As a teacher, you will teach students with various NPF diagnoses who are studying subjects in grades 1-3. Teaching takes place both individually and in classrooms with about seven students. The class is age-mixed and consists of students from grades 1 to 3. Together with colleagues, you are responsible for the students' entire school day, which includes teaching, breaks, lunch, and transitions. It also includes accompanying students in practical-aesthetic subjects. You understand and work based on our clear focus that we are a school with teaching, where students are given the opportunity to reach their goals.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on the curriculum and the Education Act to provide students with the best possible development. You follow the curriculum Lgr22 and adapt teaching based on students' needs, interests, and prerequisites. You follow up, assess, and document students' knowledge development. You collaborate regarding students' needs with other actors, both within and outside the school. Furthermore, mentoring and daily dialogue with guardians are included. You are responsible for creating trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

You have close cooperation with resource educators, special teachers, special educators, and other teachers. You meet regularly and collaborate regarding students, planning, assessment, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work.

Your experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• teacher certification with broad subject competence for grades 1-3
• experience working as a teacher in primary school
• good knowledge of and experience working with students with various NPF diagnoses
• good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• experience working in a resource school and/or in a special education group
• special educational competence
• experience teaching in age-mixed groups
• knowledge of and experience in clear pedagogical methods and positive behavior support
• good knowledge of low-arousal responses
• good digital competence with experience in using digital pedagogical tools.

We offer

Älta Resource School is a new institution for students with various NPF diagnoses in grades 1-9. The school opened in August and has space for about 40-45 students. We are located in the scenic Älta with proximity to the sea, lakes, and forests, as well as good communications to Slussen, Nacka, and Värmdö. The school is located in a part of the newly built Stavsborg School with its own entrance and has its own beautiful, modern, and functional facilities for teaching, leisure, and lunch.
