Friday is seeking an Operational Purchaser on behalf of a client. In this role, you will have a central position in a team of 8 people, with excellent opportunities for career development. As an Operational Purchaser, you will work administratively and maintain close dialogue with both external and internal contacts. You will be responsible for placing purchase orders, receiving complaints, and communicating with suppliers as well as with production and production planners. You will also monitor orders and work closely with inside sales.

Examples of tasks:

• Manage purchasing, inventory, and logistics issues.
• Be responsible for inventory management at a 3PL warehouse where an important part is to optimize reorder points and EOQ.
• Perform RFQs on internal requests.
• Analyze purchasing needs.
• Create purchase orders and send them to suppliers.
• Delivery monitoring.
• Maintain price and supplier information in the business system.
• Be responsible for the operational dialogue with suppliers regarding deliveries, orders, forecasts, etc.
• Coordinate with suppliers on changes (product, deliveries, etc.).
• Participate in regular follow-up meetings with suppliers.
• Handle complaints with suppliers.
• Approve invoices.
• Ensure routines in the management system within your area.
• Collaborate with inside sales and other departments in the company.

• Has a post-secondary education in purchasing, supply chain, industrial economics, or a related field.
• Has good computer skills.
• Is meticulous, driven, and self-sufficient.
• Is fluent in both Swedish and English in both spoken and written form, as both languages are used internally and externally.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience in purchasing technical products and/or negotiations in a technical organization.
• Have worked alongside studies in a relevant field.
• Have work experience in material planning, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.
• Have worked with Microsoft Dynamics.
