About the position

As the Fresh Produce Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the fresh produce departments – meat, deli, cheese, dairy, and ready-made meals. You are responsible for ensuring that the department always maintains the highest standards regarding quality, hygiene, assortment, and presentation. The role is both operational and strategic – you drive sales, work with orders, campaigns, waste management, and budget monitoring, while also being involved in the daily operations of the store.

You will be a key person in the store's development and have significant influence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, hygiene, product selection, and inspiring presentation

• Manage orders, campaigns, waste, and budget monitoring

• Optimize product flows and work closely with the picking team

• Participate in the store's daily operations, including cash register duties and opening/closing as needed

• Actively contribute to the store's development during ongoing reorganization

About you

We are looking for someone with experience in the grocery retail sector and preferably previous responsibility in fresh produce. You are a structured and solution-oriented person with a sense for quality and details. You have a good understanding of profitability and product flows and are comfortable working both independently and in a team. As a person, you are service-oriented, engaged, and thrive in a role where you can take responsibility.

Requirements for the position

• At least 1 year of experience in grocery retail

• Previous responsibility in fresh produce

• Knowledge in the fresh produce area

• Understanding of store economics and product flows

Meritorious: Experience in leadership

About the employment

The position is a full-time job (38.25 hours/week) or as agreed, with varying working hours on weekdays and weekends according to schedule. A probationary period applies. Start date is immediate or as agreed. Salary according to collective agreement and agreement.
