About the role

As a Business Policy Strategist at Norra Skog, you will play a key role in our advocacy work. You will work solution-oriented with opinion formation and represent our members' interests in dialogue with politicians, authorities, and other societal actors. You will actively participate in member meetings, forestry days, and other activities where you will lecture and inform about current business policy issues.

You will:

• Write consultation responses, debate articles, and newsletters
• Promote business policy issues in our communication channels
• Contribute to knowledge transfer to members, elected representatives, and field organizations
• Represent Norra Skog in networks, reference groups, and working groups
• Monitor business policy issues and serve as an expert in various contexts

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in forestry, law, natural sciences, or social sciences
• At least five years of work experience, preferably from advocacy work or work within a membership organization
• Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
• Good analytical and administrative skills
• Experience in forestry issues and understanding of political decision-making processes, the Forestry Act, and the Environmental Code is an advantage

You find it easy to collaborate with others and thrive in a role where you can build relationships and networks. Location and application

The position is a permanent employment with placement at our membership department in Umeå or by agreement. You need to have a driver's license, and travel is frequent.

Start date is by agreement.
