Your workplace

The Psychiatric Outpatient Care in Karlstad will consist of four clinics focusing on all types of psychiatric diagnoses starting from September 1st.

Clinic 3 works with both individual and group-based interventions. Here, we work together in a team around the patient with psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychotherapists, administrative staff, caregivers, and doctors.

We continuously work to develop methods in line with national care and intervention programs. We focus intensively on the work environment, which goes hand in hand with patient safety, and we have an exciting journey ahead where you will be able to influence the development of the clinic based on your profession and knowledge. We value quality and in-depth knowledge and are keen to offer further education in relevant areas.

You will be involved in shaping the role and mission of the psychologist at our clinic. The work is flexible and independent but also involves a lot of teamwork.

Your responsibilities

As a psychologist at Clinic 3 and the Psychiatric Outpatient Care in Karlstad, you will work with neuropsychiatric assessments, diagnostic evaluations, in-depth psychological assessments, psychoeducation, and psychological treatment in groups or individually.

Part of your mission as a psychologist with us is to contribute your psychological expertise at treatment and referral conferences. Your responsibilities include method development and quality assurance as part of the team and in collaboration with other clinics. If you are qualified, it may include supervising psychology candidates, psychology assistants, and PTP psychologists.

Your skills and competencies

You are a licensed psychologist with at least two years of clinical experience in psychiatry. It is advantageous if you have worked in psychiatric outpatient care and/or have specialist training. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. As travel may occur in the position, a B driver's license is required.

We place great importance on personal suitability as we are keen to find the right person for the position and for our team. The work is dynamic, and you need to easily adapt to new circumstances and have a solution-focused and positive approach. You have a good overall perspective that helps you see both the patient's and the organization's needs in your daily work.

Selection and recruitment will begin during week 31, when the responsible manager will also return from vacation and be available for any questions.
