About us

We are a free school with 200 students located at Husie Kyrkoväg 76 (grades 0-3) and Kungsörnsgatan 3 (grades 4-9) in Malmö. We are currently looking for a new school counselor for the academic year.

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a counselor include working preventively and health-promoting in collaboration with the student health team and other school staff to contribute to a good learning and living environment for our students.

As a school counselor, you will work with psychosocial interventions directly aimed at individual students or groups. You are part of the school's student health team and collaborate with both the principal and teaching teams, school nurse, school psychologist, special educator, and career counselor. You work solution-focused and maintain a positive attitude.

Your tasks include making group-oriented interventions, having individual conversations with students, and guiding staff in certain cases. The role includes contact with other authorities. You should be a person with a drive to find the best possible solutions for sustainable student health work in collaboration with others.

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker. Experience working with children and youth is desirable.

You are comfortable working in both small and larger groups of students and staff to meet the requirements of the Education Act regarding preventive and health-promoting work. You find it easy to collaborate and create good working relationships with students, guardians, and staff, show respectful treatment towards people's differences, and share the values of society and the school, including inclusion, knowledge of social law, and have experience in certain investigative work.

The position is part-time.
