Your new job

You will have overall responsibility for our experiment hall, which includes planning and scheduling part-time staff, welcoming school visits and visitors from the public, and driving development work to improve and further develop the content of the experiment hall.

You are expected to plan and conduct various holiday activities, as well as collaborate closely with both colleagues and visitors, where you will have the opportunity to inspire and spark curiosity in people of all ages. The position may also involve working on our Eco Bus as a driver and/or educator.

At Upptech, learning is enjoyable through experiments, participation, drama, and interactivity. As an educator at Upptech, you will be part of a team of educators teaching natural sciences, technology, sustainable development, and outdoor education for all ages. Your tasks include individually or collaboratively developing, planning, and implementing activities with and for children and students from preschool to high school. This includes school programs, teacher training, development projects, and other public activities aimed at inspiring and engaging more people in our subject areas. Together with other colleagues, you will also plan and conduct training for practicing teachers.

Your skills

We are looking for someone with broad subject knowledge in natural sciences, mathematics, technology, and sustainable development, as well as good knowledge of outdoor education. You should also have experience working both interdisciplinary and language-developing. We see that you are used to working independently, take great personal responsibility, are flexible, creative, and outgoing. A B driver's license for manual transmission is required as part of our educational activities are mobile, and it is also an advantage if you have a bus driver's license.

We have a broad operation that requires good collaboration skills and a holistic view. A genuine interest in what we teach and a creative development mindset are important. You believe, just as we do, that interactive methods and hands-on activities are important tools for learning.

Good to know

The work will normally be scheduled during regular office hours, but will also include some evenings per week and certain weekends.
