Social Worker for the Exit Program

The Social Administration in the City of Stockholm has a comprehensive and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the area of disabilities. Here, good conditions are created to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service, and we have a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures are offered to the city's residents, and the offerings change based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business community. The Social Administration is also responsible for the city's serving and tobacco licenses and conducts supervision.

The Exit Program at the Homelessness Area belongs to the Social Administration in the City of Stockholm and has nice premises in Södermalm in central Stockholm.

The Exit Program targets individuals exiting organized crime who have a confirmed high threat level. The target group is individuals in the City of Stockholm who are over 18 years old and who are in contact with the police region's exit program.

The Exit Program consists of two social workers in the adult unit and one social worker in the financial support unit, as well as a unit manager. We are a group that supports each other and together we achieve results. We utilize employees' competencies and development ideas aimed at improving the quality of the operation and contributing to achieving the goals. We are a friendly and happy group that supports each other.

Your role

Our mission is to collaborate with the police to provide support and protection for individuals exiting organized crime and to implement lasting lifestyle changes. The work is based on the legislation and knowledge support available. Our goal is for the operation to be characterized by high professionalism, legally secure processing, and high availability. Interaction issues are central, and we actively work with MI (Motivational Interviewing). Support includes case support meetings, individual case reviews, supervision, administrative support, and close support from colleagues and the unit manager. Working as a social worker with us means a free and flexible job, where you independently plan your workdays. You are expected to work towards the set goals of the operation. A large part of the work involves being creative and constructive, finding solutions, and motivating our clients. Constructive ideas that contribute to new ways of working and thinking are encouraged, and for those who wish, there are great opportunities to shape your work within the framework of our mission. The assignment includes regularly conducting business trips with overnight stays. In addition to working with exit cases, the position also includes handling cases within the areas of homelessness and harmful use and dependency.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. Additionally, you should have worked with public authority exercise for at least 2 years and be well-versed in social services, confidentiality, and administrative laws.

It is advantageous if you have studied criminology and have previously worked with criminality, as well as if you have experience working in the City of Stockholm and in the Umbrella organization. It is also advantageous if you have worked investigatively with youth and have experience in public authority exercise according to LVU or previous experience from criminal care/probation or in the area of dependency. If you have MI training and have worked according to MI methods, it is desirable.

In addition to your formal qualifications, we will also consider the following: We are looking for someone who enjoys structuring and planning their work independently. You have the ability to handle work situations that require great flexibility and take the initiative to find solutions. You have a good approach and enjoy creating good collaborations; in this role, it is crucial to be able to collaborate well. We are also looking for someone who has the ability to communicate clearly and enjoys working towards set goals. Furthermore, it is also a prerequisite that you are comfortable with some administrative work and documentation. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability. Other:

To be approved for the position, you will need to undergo a security review, which is conducted by the police. A probationary period may be applied. Questions about the position can primarily be answered before 30/6.
