Junior Project Manager in Events and Themed Seasons
As a Junior Project Manager in Events and Themed Seasons, you play an important role in planning, executing, and developing some of Kolmården's most beloved experiences. You work closely with the Project Manager to create cohesive and guest-focused events that engage both children and adults – where every detail is carefully considered and contributes to a magical whole. You independently lead smaller events and sub-projects while supporting larger seasonal initiatives such as Halloween, Fairy Tale Christmas, and Easter.
Your Responsibilities
In the role of Junior Project Manager, you are involved in the entire project process – from planning to execution and follow-up. You lead your own smaller events and activities, and are responsible for ensuring that projects adhere to timelines, quality, and guest focus. You also support the Project Manager in developing project plans, task distribution, and meeting materials.
You communicate and coordinate with departments such as Marketing, Operations, Technical, and Animal Care to ensure that all parts of an event work smoothly together. You are responsible for certain administrative tasks such as budget tracking and material orders, and actively participate in project meetings where you contribute ideas and improvement suggestions.
An important part of the assignment is to identify risks and propose solutions, as well as to follow up on project status and progress. You continuously work to improve our guest experiences and contribute to Kolmården's ongoing development as a destination for experiences.
The position requires you to work on-site in Kolmården, as the assignment is closely linked to daily operations. If the needs of the business allow, remote work may occur in exceptional cases. The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period and starts according to agreement.
We are looking for someone who
- Has 1–3 years of experience working in a key role within events, project management, or a similar field
- Has post-secondary education in events, project management, or a related field
- Has experience from the tourism industry or customer experience-oriented operations (meritorious)
- Has a valid driver's license (B)
We are looking for someone who is structured, solution-oriented, and creative. You have a strong sense of both detail and the big picture and thrive in a dynamic environment where you can take your own initiatives. You are communicative and enjoy collaborating with different departments and external parties, while also being confident in independently driving smaller projects forward.
You have a natural commitment to creating experiences that guests will remember for a long time, and you take responsibility for ensuring that the work is carried out with quality and care. As a person, you are flexible and adaptable and see changes as an opportunity for development. You share Kolmården's ambition to deliver world-class service – every time.
