About the Brain Stimulation Unit
The Brain Stimulation Unit is in its startup phase and will deliver electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and later also repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to both our outpatient and inpatient patients. In the unit, you will be part of a team with nurses, doctors, and anesthesia staff. You will closely collaborate with other units within psychiatry.
We are looking for a nursing assistant with a protected professional title
We can offer you a position with working hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Brain Stimulation Unit. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you will work clinically as a nursing assistant in one of our psychiatric wards at Nacka Hospital.
Your work as a nursing assistant
- Preparation and assistance during brain stimulation treatments
- Patient care and monitoring before, during, and after treatments
- Information and support to patients and their relatives
- Documentation of treatments and patients' conditions
- Collaboration with nurses, doctors, and anesthesia staff
- Creating a safe and supportive environment for patients
Competence and experience
- Basic nursing assistant education is a requirement
- Experience in psychiatric care is an advantage
- Interest in and knowledge of brain stimulation is a plus
- Good collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility
Monday-Friday, daytime (40h/week)

The position will be filled provided that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to current guidelines.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
