The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, high schools, and adult education.

At Ekillaskolan, we emphasize every student's right to receive education at a level adapted to them. Ekillaskolan should be a place where all students and staff thrive and feel safe, and where students leave school with self-esteem and confidence – prepared for further studies and a good place in adult society. We will find the paths and working methods that lead to more and more students passing all subjects when they leave school in year 9.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ekillaskolan is looking for someone who has a strong commitment to students and who always actively works to ensure that all students succeed. To thrive with us, you should enjoy working in a team, have an easy time collaborating, and have a genuine interest in the student. You will work closely with students and tailor your approach to their needs, while also working to see the big picture from both a group and organizational perspective. You are never alone with challenges and questions, and we share a common responsibility for all students to succeed. You are an integral part of the school's student health team, which includes many different functions working in the best interest of the student. In your role, you will collaborate not only with the student health team but also with our teachers, our students, their guardians, and external actors.

In your work as a special educator with us, you will also map obstacles and opportunities in the school environment and students' needs for special support. You will conduct educational investigations and provide support to the school's educators in the establishment and implementation of action programs. You will provide guidance and consultation to relevant staff at the school in the pedagogical work at the group and organizational level. To thrive with us, it is important that you enjoy working in a development and change process and are an active part of that work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained special educator and has previous work experience as a teacher. If you also have work experience as a special educator, it is considered an advantage.

As a person, you are structured, you plan and organize your work well, work according to clear processes, and ensure that you complete what you have started on time. You are also relationship-building and like to take initiative in social contexts. You find it easy to create new contacts and quickly build trusting relationships. Furthermore, you are collaborative and have an unpretentious approach. You adapt to the situation and contribute to finding solutions together with others. You are solution-oriented and see opportunities where others see obstacles. You act quickly when problems arise and find ways forward both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
