IT Technician at the Church of Sweden Västerås

Do you have a strong interest in IT and good experience with computers and other technical equipment? Do you enjoy problem-solving and supporting your colleagues with IT-related questions?

The Church of Sweden Västerås is looking for a dedicated and self-driven IT technician who enjoys solving technical problems and working closely with users. You will support our employees and elected representatives, and the work is both operational and service-oriented. We offer varied tasks with significant responsibility, supervised by our IT coordinator.

Your responsibilities include:

• troubleshooting Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft 365, iOS, OneDrive, and other software
• installing and managing computers, printers, mobile phones, tablets, AV equipment, and peripherals
• performing basic troubleshooting of networks and Wi-Fi
• managing cases in our support tool FreshDesk
• working both remotely and physically in the operations

Qualifications

To apply for the position, we require that you have:

• IT education at least at the high school level or equivalent experience
• Experience in technical support or IT operations
• Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and AV equipment
• Experience with mobile management, MDM solutions, and basic network troubleshooting
• Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, and good knowledge of English
• A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle is required as you will be traveling within Västerås

About the employment

The position is a fixed-term employment until December 31, 2025. The work is full-time, during the day, based in Västerås, with travel within the parish.
