PROCESS ENGINEER – SHT SMART HIGH-TECH AB

Location: Torslanda (Gothenburg)|Full-time

SHT Smart High-Tech produces graphene-enhanced thermal conductive materials that cool everything from AI processors and data centers to 5G base stations. Our patented product line GT-TIM effectively conducts heat both vertically and horizontally – a performance few competitors can match. After several years of research, customer testing, and pilot runs, we are now scaling up to series production in Gothenburg. Our vision is to become a world leader in nano-based thermal management, thereby making electronics more sustainable, faster, and energy-efficient.

As a process engineer, you will be the technical hub that translates laboratory specifications into robust production windows: you will adapt machines, create fixtures, set process parameters, and ensure that the proof-of-concept from R&D becomes stable volume production. You will report to the Production Manager and collaborate daily with R&D chemists, operators, maintenance, and quality.

• Interpret functional and material requirements from R&D and implement them in pressing, coating, and curing equipment.

• Practically adjust temperature, pressure, speed, and recipes; run DOE studies and analyze results in Minitab/SPC.

• Build simple jigs/fixtures yourself (lathe, milling, welding) or via suppliers.

• Document process control in FMEA, control plans, and instructions for operators.

• Initiate improvement projects around automation, sensor placement, and OEE enhancement.

• Support pilot runs and prototype manufacturing; participate in FAT/SAT and customer/supplier audits.

• Engineering degree in mechanical, mechatronics, production, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least 5 years of hands-on work with machines/processes in advanced manufacturing.

• Experience in independently driving technical improvement projects.

• Basic workshop knowledge (lathe, welding, milling).

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

• Experience in electronics, thin film, composite, or chemical processes.

• Automation/robotics or prototype development.

• Knowledge of graphene, TIM, or other thermal interface materials.

• Creative problem solver who loves fingertip debugging.

• Structured – you transform lab data into clear machine parameters.

• Self-driven and proactive; drives own projects from idea to result.

• Good communication skills – can talk as naturally with operators as with researchers.
