Graveyard Worker Wanted at the Cemetery Unit in Nyköping Parish

The Cemetery Unit is responsible for 4 cemeteries, the parish's green areas, and the crematorium. We have about 35 employees during the peak season. We are responsible for the authority's exercise within the burial operations.

We are now offering 3 project positions as graveyard workers, 100%.

Job Responsibilities

As a graveyard worker, you are expected to perform all tasks related to the maintenance and care of our four cemeteries. This includes duties such as assisting with burials, weeding, maintaining grave borders, mowing, trimming grass, planting spring and summer flowers, spring/fall cleaning, pruning, and snow removal. You may also work on various excavation and construction tasks. The position includes some on-call duties during winter and weekend work during All Saints' weekend.

Qualifications

Since the tasks for this position can be physically demanding, good physical fitness is required, as well as a high school diploma and good knowledge of the Swedish language. The job requires that the applicant has a B driver's license.

Meritorious

• Experience with tool carriers or tractors for green areas
• Training and experience in machine excavation
• Chainsaw certificate or good experience with grass trimmers
• Experience driving with a trailer
• Experience in construction work

Scope

Full-time, daytime during the project employment period with a start date of 2025-09-15 and an end date of 2027-12-31.
