The Culture, Leisure, and Technology Administration is the municipality's third-largest department. We have 180 employees with a wide range of responsibilities including property and project management, streets and traffic, port, parks and coast, facilities and swimming, open youth activities, association support, libraries, cultural schools, museums, public art, as well as consumer and budget advice.
Klitterbadet, Falkenberg's swimming and fitness facility, is just a stone's throw from Skrea beach. Here, you will meet many people and have a varied job that at times requires a high work pace. Klitterbadet offers visitors lap swimming, swimming schools, group training, and a gym operated in-house. During the summer, we open our outdoor pool in Vessigebro. In Falkenberg, a decision has been made to build a new pool expected to be completed by 2029, and as an employee, you will play an important role in this work.
Today, we are 14 employees who together run Klitterbadet, and we are now looking for new team members!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a lifeguard, you will have a varied job where you perform various tasks such as pool supervision, swimming instruction, water aerobics, working at the cash register and reception, as well as cleaning, among other things. You are responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests.
The workplace uses a rotating schedule, which means that all aspects are included in your job responsibilities. You will have a role that involves both independent responsibility and collaboration with colleagues.
The position also involves regular evening and weekend shifts. We are looking for both permanent and temporary positions with good opportunities for extension.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has lifeguard training and swimming instructor training or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. It is an advantage if you have worked as an instructor for water group training.
The work involves a lot of customer contact and service, which requires you to be service-oriented and proactive, with a knack for seeing and addressing what needs to be done. At the same time, you have a good ability to collaborate, enjoy working in a team, and have good communication skills.
Your proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, should be good.
