About the position
We at Perido are now looking for a transport coordinator on behalf of our client, a well-known company in the automotive industry. You will be based in the office located in Gothenburg.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring material transports to recipients worldwide. The work is carried out in close collaboration with carriers, terminal operators, and receiving units. You will manage operational flows and documentation, follow up on deviations, and contribute to an efficient and reliable logistics flow. The role involves continuous interaction with both internal and external stakeholders and also includes participation in improvement activities related to the supply chain.
Examples of tasks:
- Book transport capacity for sea and road transport
- Issue and manage transport documentation
- Update business systems with transport and delivery data
- Coordinate flows via cross-dock terminal
- Identify and manage deviations in the material flow
- Inform recipients of any changes or disruptions in deliveries
- Act as a point of contact for operational questions related to material transports
- Participate in follow-up meetings regarding transport performance
- Represent the logistics function in operational collaboration meetings
- Contribute to improvement work to streamline processes and flows
Your qualities
The role of transport coordinator suits you if you are detail-oriented and have a proactive work approach. You thrive in a collaborative environment where you have a lot of contact with both internal and external parties. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for handling daily issues and deviations. Experience or understanding of lean principles is an advantage, especially in the work with continuous improvements. You are proactive and contribute to driving the work forward in a dynamic and global context.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, engineering, or economics, or advanced vocational training in the logistics field
- Experience in shipping and/or freight forwarding
- Good knowledge of Office 365 and analytical tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Qlik
- Experience in transport document administration
- Ability to communicate fluently in spoken and written Swedish and English
Scope and start date
Full-time, consulting assignment until 2026-02-28. Start date 2025-09-01.
