Your responsibilities

We are looking for someone ready to meet the challenges of the future – to continue building a robust and flexible procurement organization together with us. As the unit manager for the procurement unit, you have a central role in the ongoing work together with the group manager and about 20 purchasers, contract controllers, and investment coordinators. You report to the procurement operations manager and are an important member of the procurement management group.

The procurement unit prepares and conducts procurements and implements agreements. In the role of unit manager, you have responsibilities for operational planning, personnel, work environment, and finances. The unit manager has overall responsibility for the development of the unit, including continuing the work of introducing and further developing our processes. Together with the procurement management group, you and the group manager continuously develop the operations to deliver sound business for a sustainable future based on customer needs.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant academic education such as law, procurement, economics, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer, or alternatively, you have acquired equivalent knowledge in working life. To succeed in the role, you need several years of experience as a manager and preferably experience leading through others. You have extensive knowledge of procurement and a solid insight into public operations and good knowledge of public procurement (LOU, LOV). Experience working with process development, preferably within digital working methods but also within AI and utilizing Business Intelligence systems for better efficiency is also advantageous. Since we have offices in four locations, it is beneficial if you have a B driver's license.

As a person, you have a positive attitude, are good at communicating, listening, and coaching. Furthermore, you are strategic and structured and have a good ability to create engagement and participation in the operations. Not least, you have a strong presence and can maintain a helicopter perspective and drive procurement issues towards challenging operations in a changing organization. We place great importance on personal qualities as we see it is important that you fit well as a manager for the employees in the group but also as part of the procurement management group.

Employment form

Permanent employment with start date by agreement. The place of employment is Eskilstuna, Västerås, Nyköping, or Katrineholm.
