Job Responsibilities

Within the world of Lugnet, you will become a master of most things and work in all our areas, including:

  • Swimming Instructor
  • Baby Swimming and Mini Swimming
  • Water Instructor
  • Pool Attendant
  • Relax Host
  • Receptionist, where you are our face to the public
  • Café operations including basic food preparation
  • Cleaning… Yes, cleaning is important and part of the hygiene quality we want to maintain.

The operation is permeated by a hospitality that conveys a sense of safety, joy, and service. A large part of our operation is our swimming school where we work with students from preschool up to high school but also with adult swimming classes. You will hold exciting water activities for different groups and help organize swimming parties. We regularly train in lifesaving, which includes lifesaving at depths of up to 4 meters and in other areas where safety is of utmost importance. A large part of the job involves keeping our swimming halls clean and representative, which includes tasks such as maintenance, care of materials, preparation, and cleaning. Together with us, you work to ensure that all our guests feel welcome. You greet them with enthusiasm and commitment and are flexible regarding requests. Your tasks include rotating between our stations, meaning you meet customers at the reception, work in the café, or at the pool where you provide customers with a pleasant swimming experience.

During certain periods, you may also work at Bjursåsbadet.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

  • Completed high school education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • Good swimming skills and a strong sense of safety in the water. You also need to be able to perform deeper dives, meaning you should be able to dive to 3.60 meters. This recruitment includes performing a work test to demonstrate your swimming and diving skills. This is a mandatory step that takes place before any interview
  • An interest in leading various water activities and swimming courses
  • Experience in service work and a desire to provide good customer service
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Good computer skills and experience using a computer as a work tool

During each work shift, the work is close to all our visitors, and your personal hospitality and engagement are therefore important tools in your daily work. You are flexible and adapt to new circumstances while also being willing to share your ideas.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Pool Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor training according to SLS
  • Experience working in a swimming hall with swimming school
  • Certification as a baby swimming instructor
  • Experience as an instructor in group training or another training form deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Experience working in café or restaurant operations
  • Experience working at a reception
  • Experience in hygiene and cleaning
  • Experience from working in a SPA or relaxation area
  • Good knowledge of languages other than Swedish and English, preferably Arabic and Dari, Somali, and Ukrainian

Employment Conditions

1 fixed-term employment (temporary) from September 1 to October 15, or by agreement. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Early mornings and late evenings may occur. Swimming and diving tests as well as interviews may take place continuously.
