At the Environmental and Building Permit Administration, approximately 175 employees work within 40 different professional groups. Our employees handle everything from building permits to environmental supervision, maintenance of parks and natural areas, energy and climate advice, and land surveying proceedings. Most work in Novumhuset in Flemingsberg, but we also have employees who operate from locations closer to our nature and parks. The Environmental and Building Permit Administration works on behalf of the Building Permit and Supervision Committee and the Nature and Urban Environment Committee. Additionally, the administration prepares materials for the municipal executive committee's climate and environmental committee. Within the administration, there is also the municipal land surveying authority that operates on behalf of the state authority Lantmäteriet.

Here you can express your interest in an internship within the framework of the YH education for building permit officers/building inspectors at the Environmental and Building Permit Administration in Huddinge Municipality, spring 2026.

We will assess how many interns we can accommodate and conduct interviews for this during the autumn of October-November.

About the workplace The internship positions are available in one of the three units in the building permit department in Huddinge. Among our approximately 40 employees, there is a strong drive and commitment, supported by both colleagues and close leadership. There is ample opportunity to influence how we work, and we strive to simplify and clarify our advice and processing. Our workplace is located in Flemingsberg, easily accessible by buses, commuter trains, and regional trains. Of course, employees in the department who wish to do so can also work remotely a few days a week.

Your tasks As an intern, you will participate in the department's regular work. You will also handle some simpler cases and provide advice and information to our citizens. You will have a designated supervisor, but you will also work with several different professional categories. When the internship is completed, you will have experienced the tasks performed by building permit officers, building inspectors, and supervision officers, and you will also have learned about the department's administrative roles.

Your profile We are looking for someone who is studying a YH education in building permits and will do your internship in the spring of 2026. To thrive as an intern with us, we believe you have the ability to build trusting relationships and are interested in communication both verbally and in writing in various situations. You are quick to absorb new information, good at collaborating with others, and willing to assist in whatever way is needed within the group.
