About the workplace

The City of Helsingborg as an employer has about 10,000 employees and 470 managers. The City Management Administration is one of nine administrations and is led by our Deputy City Director. To carry out our mission, we are organized into seven different departments. Our administration has an important and exciting mission where we exist for others - for colleagues, other administrations, the citizens of Helsingborg, and businesses, to name a few. The City Management Administration will - lead, develop and coordinate the municipality's activities in overarching and common areas, - offer services and products that are requested by the municipal council, administrations, and companies, including common functions aimed directly at the citizens of Helsingborg, - in collaboration with external parties create conditions for a positive development of Helsingborg.

Job responsibilities

As a communicator in the Department of Strategic Community Development, you will work with all three units of the department. You will also be part of both city-wide projects and cross-border projects. The position is divided into three parts, with the percentage describing the distribution of working time being approximate:

• Communicative support to the department (30%)
• Project management of events and internal activities such as simpler conferences, departmental days, support to the management group, and similar (20%)
• Administrative support for investigation and advocacy work for the project fixed link Helsingborg-Helsingør. To the main part communication work (50%)

The communicator's tasks include communicative support, graphic production, web publishing, and producing newsletters. The project management work includes, among other things, supporting the department in smaller internal and external events/seminars, managing the department's planning days, and similar.

In the work with the secretariat for the HH2030 group, meeting planning for the Danish-Swedish steering group, preparation of agendas and minutes, and coordination of the working group that reports to the steering group is included. Some project management and communication assignments are also included.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we see that you have a university degree and work experience relevant to the assignment. This means that you have experience working in areas such as administration, project management, and communication. It is an advantage if you have education in communication. As a person, you have a strong drive and are self-sufficient. You are used to leading yourself but also to lead and collaborate with others. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities regarding collaboration skills.
