ValueOne is looking for an analytical buyer with a few years of experience in commercial purchasing for a consulting assignment with our client in Örnsköldsvik. The assignment is to be filled immediately and runs for one year with the possibility of extension.

About the role

You will work with direct materials and commercial purchasing. Supplier work is done in the short and medium term. The role suits you who want to develop within strategic purchasing in a complex technical environment, with good opportunities to grow in line with the assignment.

• Responsible for purchasing raw materials, components, or semi-finished products used directly in the manufacturing process.
• Perform supplier assessments, negotiations, and contracts in the short and medium term.
• Work on supplier development and cost optimization within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Collaborate closely with technology, production, quality, and logistics to ensure the right products at the right price and right time.
• Manage strategic and tactical purchasing needs within the framework of overall strategies.
• Work systematically with follow-up, risk assessment, and improvements related to delivery reliability, price development, and availability.
• Create and update purchasing documentation, contracts, and price lists.

Experience and competence

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in purchasing work within commercial purchasing at a tactical or strategic level, preferably within manufacturing companies. You have experience working with direct material purchasing and can handle purchase offers, purchase agreements, and negotiate with suppliers. Good knowledge of Excel and experience with SAP is required. Post-secondary education in engineering, purchasing, logistics, or economics is desirable, but relevant work experience can compensate. Good Swedish and English skills in both spoken and written form are required. To apply for this role, you must also hold Swedish citizenship.

The work location is in Örnsköldsvik with the possibility of partially working remotely after the introduction.
