The Communications Unit has overall responsibility for the municipality's communication work and serves as a central support for the municipality's operations regarding external and internal communication. We are four communicators and a communications manager, and we have our workplaces in the city hall in central Ulricehamn.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a communicator, you work closely with the municipality's operations and provide both operational and strategic support to managers and operations. The tasks are many and varied.

Your assignment will be particularly focused on the environmental and community building sector. You plan and implement communication efforts both internally and externally. You update the content on internal and external websites and publish on social media. Other tasks included in the position are to produce press materials, provide support in media contacts, and produce informational materials. You will create materials for print - from idea to print-ready material. Photography and image management as well as simpler film production are also included.

You will also have a special responsibility for the municipality's external website ulricehamn.se. This includes coordinating the municipality's network of web editors and, together with the contracted supplier, coordinating the development of our platform.

QUALIFICATIONS

We require:

• At least one year of experience in communication work.
• Academic education in communication science or other post-secondary education that we deem relevant.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
• Very good ability to express yourself in writing in a simple, clear, and accessible way.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience in communication work within a politically governed organization.
• Experience in digital communication: publishing, developing, and coordinating content for web and intranet.
• Knowledge of the tools Sitevision (external web) and SharePoint (intranet).

We are looking for someone with experience working broadly with communication and who sees themselves as a communication generalist. You express yourself well in writing and have the ability to do so in a simple, accessible, and target group-adapted manner. You quickly grasp complex issues and easily transform them into clear and effective communication.

You have an interest in and experience with digital communication, both regarding web and intranet. Your working style is structured and solution-focused, you are attentive and service-oriented, and you have good collaboration skills. At the same time, you are independent, creative, take initiative, and see opportunities. You are a confident communicator and thrive on driving communication work forward in a dynamic environment.

The position is a temporary contract until 2026-10-01, with a possible extension.
