High School Teacher for the Child and Leisure Program

Hagströmska Gymnasiet in Falun has approximately 700 students distributed across a wide range of programs with both theoretical and practical orientations. About the Position

The position involves planning and conducting instruction in vocational subjects in the Child and Leisure Program's focus on leisure and health. The role also includes responsibility for APL, which encompasses the procurement of APL placements and visits to students' APL placements for students in the Child and Leisure Program. You will also function as a mentor for the students and be involved in joint planning at the school.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you should be well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have the ability to vary instruction based on students' needs. You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create structure, context, and good relationships. A large part of the instruction in the program is practical, and therefore you should have experience leading groups in practical activities related to sports and health.

You are positive, humble, unpretentious, and have an easy time collaborating with others.

Furthermore, we want you to have a professional approach in your interactions with others, including students, colleagues, and parents. We prefer that you have experience teaching in high school, and it is an advantage if you have experience teaching in the Child and Leisure Program.

In addition, we are looking for someone who wants to help develop the school further through collegial learning and collaboration so that students can get a comprehensive view of their chosen education. You should have a strong commitment and drive and want to contribute to the organization achieving its set goals. The person we envision with us is creative and open to new ideas and ways of thinking.

Temporary position 40% until 2026-06-20. For certified teachers, a permanent position will apply with a probationary period of 6 months.
