Development Engineer at Olink

Now you have the chance to become part of a forward-thinking and rapidly growing Life Science company that takes on the important task of increasing the understanding of human diseases. At Olink, you will work with groundbreaking technology and products that play a crucial role in the development of precision medicine. The company's technology, Proximity Extension Assay (PEA), enables the analysis of nearly 1500 biomarkers in minimal sample volumes, and this is just the beginning of what is possible. Here, you will be able to make a real difference in Life Science. We look forward to your application!

ABOUT THE POSITION

Olink has experienced explosive growth in recent years, and the company's products are used by research institutes and pharmaceutical companies worldwide. With offices and service labs in Uppsala and Boston, as well as sales representatives in Europe, Asia, and North America, Olink has established itself as a global player in Life Science. The technology is used to understand diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders.

In the role of development engineer, you will be part of the Lab Support team within Research & Development. The team currently consists of nine people, including a manager, and is characterized by an open, permissive, and solution-oriented climate. Now Olink is taking the next step and building a completely new competency group for raw material management, aimed at streamlining and quality-assuring the handling of the raw materials used in R&D operations. This is where you come in at an early stage and become a key person in the establishment of the Raw Material Group. This means that you will not only work operationally with the reception, preparation, and handling of raw materials, but you will also help shape the working methods, routines, and standards for how raw material management should be conducted moving forward. You will have a central role in building the group's structure, ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time, and that the processes maintain high quality. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to influence investments in new equipment and technology, such as pipetting robots and automation solutions, and participate in decisions regarding which systems and tools best support the work. The role also includes significant responsibility for independently driving the work on process development and the implementation of LIMS and other system supports for the raw material group's workflows. In other words, you will be a strategic and operational key person who, together with the team, creates the future of raw material management at Olink R&D.

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Olink. The assignment will be full-time and is expected to last at least until the turn of the year. There are very good opportunities for extension and over-recruitment, provided that there is room for it and that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.
