Job Description

We are now looking for a group manager in Umeå who wants to help further develop our offering in northern Sweden.

Within our northern region, we currently have a strong geotechnical team of nearly 60 people. We also have 14 complete field rigs fully equipped for all types of field geotechnical investigations. In Sweden, we are about 130 people in geotechnics, and we have a rewarding national collaboration.

As a Group Manager with us, you will have a role with great variation. You are expected to exercise modern and coaching leadership that builds teams and clarifies the common goals for the group. Your main tasks as Group Manager are:  

• Personnel responsibility
• Lead and coach consultants in assignments
• Further develop the group’s employees and operations
• Coordinate resources and bids
• Work in assignments as project manager or technical specialist

You will work closely with the section manager and other group managers in the region to establish operational and strategic plans. Together, you form a strong whole that drives the section forward.

We are looking for a brave and dedicated team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping others develop. We believe you are passionate about seeing people grow and achieving good solutions together.

Qualifications

We see that you have a relevant higher education degree and several years of experience in geotechnics. We prefer that you have experience working as a consultant, have good market knowledge, and an established network in the industry. We believe you have leadership experience either as a manager or as a project or assignment leader. You are used to leading technical discussions in assignments and thrive in an environment characterized by growth. We also see that you can express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
