The Investigation Section consists of 7 groups, including 5 investigation groups, one surveillance group, and one investigation on-call group.

We are now looking for a group leader for Serious Crimes 1. The group currently consists of investigation leaders, investigators, and operational analysts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The assignment as group leader for the investigation group within serious crimes. As the leader of Serious Crimes 1, you report to the section chief and are part of the management team of the investigation section, where you collectively are responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and for driving the authority's change and development work. You have special responsibility for the group's activities within the area of serious crimes and its results. As a group leader, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.

In addition to the core assignment as group leader, you will also:

  • exercise management within the investigation process in ongoing cases individually or in collaboration with prosecutors
  • make decisions in or outside the preliminary investigation regarding serious crimes as well as in other types of crimes
  • act as the preliminary investigation leader/investigation leader in cases requiring special investigation leadership or in a special investigation organization in the event of a serious crime, known as a PUG organization

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • at least 6 months of continuous experience working as a supervisor, project manager, or similar
  • police degree according to the regulation (2014:1105) on training to become a police officer
  • experience participating in change and development work
  • experience in investigation, preferably within serious crimes

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • experience leading others towards set goals and results
  • been part of a management forum
  • experience of the police organization's operations
  • leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic level
  • experience participating in/driving collaboration with community actors outside the police organization/your own organization
  • preliminary investigation leader training with a passing result or other training/experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • experience working with secret coercive measures
  • training in SMUG and/or PUG or equivalent experience that the employer assesses as equivalent

As part of the selection process, tests will also be used.
