About the Position

Tjörn is an expanding and exciting municipality that has several interesting and challenging development projects in the pipeline for the coming years.

Job Responsibilities

As a land and development engineer, you will be responsible for both small and large development projects. Your work area is broad and includes everything from implementation issues related to detailed planning to leasing municipal land. You will work with development economics and calculations in early stages, land allocation, land allocation agreements, and development agreements.

You should be able to lead, plan, and follow up on projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial, quality, and environmental standards. You will be responsible for procurement issues, monitoring timelines and calculations, reporting, and being accountable for the final outcome. Within the framework of the project, you should be able to propose alternatives, decide on actions, and clearly communicate information about your projects to others.

You should be able to drive projects independently as well as in close collaboration with both internal colleagues and external parties. You will work closely with our planning architects, project managers, water engineers, building permit officers, and other land and development engineers.

To succeed in this role, you need to be driven and self-sufficient, as well as have an easy time working systematically and collaborating both internally and externally.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a civil or engineering degree in land and development, surveying, or equivalent, or another educational background that the employer deems equivalent.

Requirements:

• Several years of documented experience in development projects

Meritorious:

We would also like you to have experience in:

• the role of a public client, LOU, and procurement
• working in a politically governed organization
