TRANSPORT AND HANDLING OF DECEASED & ON-CALL DUTY

When a person passes away, the body needs to be transported several times. The deceased must be picked up from the place of death and taken to the nearest morgue while waiting for the funeral.

Before the funeral, the deceased should be placed in the coffin and may be dressed in clothes chosen by relatives. As a transporter with us, you will be involved in all aspects of handling the deceased. Work tasks are mostly performed in Dalarna, but assignments in other locations may occur. Naturally, the workload can sometimes be uneven, and working hours irregular. Your day may consist of picking up/wrapping/placing a deceased person in a coffin. Heavy lifting is involved. On-call duty is also included.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

The tasks are people-oriented, and therefore we are looking for someone who is flexible, enjoys providing good service in all situations, and has the ability to build trust with others.

To handle all tasks, you need to have a B driver's license and basic computer skills.

With us, you work independently under your own responsibility but are part of a positive community. In our team, we trust each other and support one another.

You will receive practical training, and we will conduct guided joint visits to ensure that both you and we feel secure.

It is important for us that relatives can feel assured that the deceased is handled with great dignity and care by our own staff.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have a high school education or equivalent, and previous experience in healthcare is an advantage. The tasks involve heavy lifting, which requires good physical condition. A B driver's license is a requirement. You should also be comfortable in traffic and handling a large vehicle.
