About the role
As the Head of E-commerce, you will have overall responsibility for driving and developing A Retro Tale's digital business. With a full focus on profitable growth, customer experience, and international expansion, you will lead the efforts to take the company's e-commerce to the next level. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the e-commerce strategy – with a particular focus on Sweden, Germany, and other key markets in Europe.
This is a broad and commercially significant role where you combine strategy, analysis, and leadership with clear operational responsibility.
Your mission:
- Have overall responsibility for the e-commerce business with a focus on growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Own and drive the company's product vision, including the development of a clear roadmap.
- Further develop the website to enhance user experience, strengthen brand identity, and increase conversion rates.
- Analyze sales and customer behaviors, and drive improvements through data-driven insights.
- Develop and implement the e-commerce strategy in line with overall business goals.
- Optimize the customer journey and digital flows to maximize conversion, loyalty, and experience.
- In close collaboration with the marketing team, develop campaigns and marketing activities.
- Coordinate work within CRM, performance marketing, SEO, and other digital channels.
- Be responsible for budget, follow-up, and reporting of e-commerce results.
- Build, lead, and develop the team as the company grows.
- Identify and implement technical solutions that strengthen the business and scale e-commerce.
Your background
We are looking for someone with at least 5–7 years of experience in driving and developing e-commerce businesses within D2C, preferably in fast-growing, international companies. You have a strong commercial acumen, accustomed to working KPI-driven with a focus on both growth and profitability. You have a background in e-commerce where brand identity combined with sales-driving efforts has been central. With a deep understanding of digital product development, technical infrastructure, and conversion, you combine strategic vision with operational sharpness.
You have experience in building and leading teams, and enjoy collaborating with external partners and agencies in a clear requirement-setting role to challenge and optimize collaborations. It is highly meritorious if you have experience with omnichannel strategy, and we also see advantages in a background from product companies with ties to tech, as well as experience in international expansion.

The position is based at A Retro Tale's office in Stockholm. Start date is negotiable, preferably as soon as possible.
