This is a position for those who have previous experience working as a primary school teacher in preschool class and have a desire to influence students' opportunities to reach their full potential in their development.

Job Description

As a teacher in preschool class, you will be part of the F-3 work team and be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching for students in your class, as well as supporting them in their social development as they take their first steps into the world of school. You will be responsible for documenting and assessing their abilities against the knowledge requirements and for creating good conditions for students in your class together with your colleagues. At our school, we also work in grade teams, and your assignment is in Team Ankaret together with two other preschool class teachers and leisure staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher, preferably with a broad qualification, and with certification for preschool class and lower grades. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have a good ability to communicate in speech and writing. You are flexible and have good collaboration skills. You have a talent for building good relationships and collaborating with students, guardians, colleagues, the school's student health team, and school management. We are looking for someone who is a clear leader and has the ability to create security through a clear structure and varied teaching. You have a professional and positive attitude and choose to see challenges as opportunities. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

About the Workplace

Norrgärdsskolan is a municipal F-6 school, located in two buildings spread over the field in the Grind area of central Norrtälje. Here you will find large lovely grassy areas and small forest areas around the corner. The school is part of a principal area with Norrtälje adapted primary school, which is also in the same premises as our students in grades 3-6, as well as Drottningdals and Vätö schools.

We have about 470 students at the school, and despite Norrgärdsskolan being a large school, there is a feeling of small-scale. We work in grade teams (school + leisure) with shared responsibility for the students. All children should feel safe with trust in adults and their own ability to handle different situations. The school's guiding principles are safety, joy, and knowledge. We believe that joy and safety are fundamental prerequisites for every student to reach their full potential in their knowledge development. Good relationships and an approach characterized by a solution- and development-focused mindset lead us towards our high goals.
