About the unit

The Logistics Platoon is one of three platoons in the Logistics Command Company at Norrbotten Air Wing F 21. The company as a whole is tasked with supporting F 21 with logistics, medical care, and command capabilities at both F 21 and the unit's side bases. In addition to the Logistics Platoon, the company has a Command Platoon and a Medical Platoon, with a fourth unit - the Supply Platoon - under construction. The Logistics Platoon is a material-heavy platoon with a large amount of equipment and vehicles - everything from trucks and trailers to wheel loaders, generators, functional containers, passenger cars, and much more.

Main tasks

The work as a material officer at the Logistics Platoon means that you support the platoon with material service and technical service. This means ensuring that the equipment undergoes inspection and maintenance according to the correct intervals and instructions. You will book repair and inspection work, follow up on status in support systems, and lead practical work with material maintenance as needed.

You will actively participate in inventory work according to directives from the company management and support your platoon leader in always being able to provide a snapshot of the current material situation.

The majority of the work will take place in an office environment. However, the position also includes participating in exercises and other activities, both locally and in field environments at other locations, during all seasons of the year. It is also expected that you can provide training in your areas of expertise. The position is currently organizationally under the Command Platoon, but your role and tasks will be linked to the Logistics Platoon.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Swedish citizen
• High school diploma
• Driver's license B
• Good computer skills (Office, Outlook)
• Good administrative ability
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

As a person, you are meticulous, structured, and have good analytical skills. You are solution-oriented, results-driven, and have the ability to work with a large number of different tasks simultaneously. You have the ability to build good relationships, are service-oriented, and enjoy working with others. To thrive, you should enjoy working in a changing environment that can partly be conducted in field conditions.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

• Experience of administrative work within government authority/public operations
• Completed military service/basic military training or GU-F
• Previous employment within the Armed Forces
• Experience with PRIO/SAP/LIFT/RSF
• Military driver's licenses
• Training certificate for forklift
