JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help develop the school of the future? We are looking for a lecturer for Quality, Innovation, and Digitalization!

The city of Mölndal is taking a big step forward and as of April 1, 2025, there will be a new unit: Quality, Innovation, and Digitalization. The unit works data-driven and supports the school's development by combining research, data analysis, and innovation. We are now looking for a mathematics lecturer who wants to be one of the key persons in this work.

The position is divided so that you:

• Work at the municipal level for just over 50% of the position within the unit of Quality, Innovation, and Digitalization.
• Teach mathematics in primary school for the remaining part of the position.

In this role, you will:

• Develop mathematics instruction based on scientific principles to achieve the school board's most important goal: 'All children and students encounter high-quality teaching where they achieve high knowledge results.'
• Contribute to overall mathematics development for the administration's primary schools.
• Work strategically to ensure that students in Mölndal are at the forefront of mathematics, technology, and natural sciences, in line with the school board's priorities.
• Collaborate with data scientists, system managers, operational developers, and lead teachers.
• Disseminate knowledge and good examples of how data and research can be used to promote student learning and school development.
• Work closely with principals and managers to translate research results and analysis into concrete school development.

Background to the initiative:

To further strengthen the mathematics subject and prepare our students for future challenges, targeted investments and professional development initiatives are being made in the city of Mölndal. The importance of being at the forefront of mathematics, technology, and natural sciences is emphasized in the school board's budget statement. The need for a mathematics lecturer is an important part of this initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a doctorate in a relevant field, such as mathematics didactics, pedagogy with a focus on mathematics, educational science, or equivalent.
• Has experience in research-based development work in or with school organizations.
• Is accustomed to collaborating between research and practice and can translate theory into practical operational development.
• Has a strong interest in data-driven development work and AI-supported methods in the education sector.
• Is communicative, collaborative, and enjoys working at the intersection of different areas of expertise.
