Stockrosens Preschool is located near green areas and within walking distance to Rosengård Library and several playgrounds. The preschool consists of eight departments, four for younger children and four for older children. We promote collaboration between the different departments. Stockrosen is surrounded by an inspiring and lush yard that invites play and outdoor pedagogy. The preschool's educational environments are in constant development, where the studio and library are the hub of our activities. Our indoor environments breathe creativity and language.

In the preschool area, we work based on AGENDA 2030 with a focus on language and integration, health, and movement.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You lead and develop the educational activities together with the rest of the work team. You have a special responsibility for teaching and work with the curriculum as a basis based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions. All preschool teachers in Malmö have scheduled time (5 hours/week) for reflection, documentation, and learning with colleagues.

You plan and lead the teaching at the preschool together with other preschool teachers. To create good conditions in the educational work, you as a preschool teacher are offered guidance from the lead preschool teacher as well as professional coaching.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher degree. We would like you to contribute with commitment, creativity, and a drive to develop the operations. You meet each child with respect and responsiveness. Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with guardians and colleagues. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone with experience as a preschool teacher who, with commitment and curiosity, drives and takes the initiative to create stimulating educational environments for children. You are practically skilled and passionate about using music, studio work, and drama as tools for learning and creativity. We see it as a great asset that you value a relational approach and have knowledge of language-developing methods. One of your abilities is to structure and organize the educational activities in a way that benefits each child's development and learning.

You promote collegial learning where everyone's competencies are utilized and build good relationships with guardians to create a safe and trusting environment.

To be permanently employed as a preschool teacher, a preschool teacher license is required, according to the Education Act. Those with a preschool teacher degree but lacking a license will be employed on a temporary basis.
