For over 100 years, Kvarnbyskolan has provided education in an environment that breathes engagement, safety, and joy of learning.

Approximately 520 students in grades 7-9 attend Kvarnbyskolan. For several years, Kvarnbyskolan has achieved very good academic results, reflected in high merit points. We believe this is partly due to knowledgeable and dedicated teachers.

The students at Kvarnbyskolan are well prepared for high school, respect others, and see the value of diversity. Close collaboration between students, staff, and the community provides a relevant and sought-after education where each student's development is at the center.

The school has a health team with a school nurse, school psychologist, school doctor, counselor, and special educators. The school's safety team actively works to counteract bullying. The school has its own study and career counselor who helps our students develop plans for the future. We also have an award-winning library staffed by a qualified librarian.

We work in teams and subject groups where you will be included. In collaboration with other staff, you will also work to create a safe and stimulating working environment for our students.

The school has been using digital tools in everyday school life for several years. Each student has their own Chromebook with a touchscreen. Projectors and wireless networks are standard features in a modern classroom. We work with Unikum and Google Classroom.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a teacher who will teach physical education and health in combination with Swedish.

The position is a 100% temporary contract for the autumn term of 2025, with the possibility of extension, and includes teaching and mentorship for a group of students.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a qualified/certified teacher in physical education and health in combination with Swedish.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating students' learning. You create good relationships with both students and guardians, built on trust and respect. You are aware of your own impact on students' learning. You have knowledge of, and work with a focus on, the school's mission to help all students develop as far as possible. You have an inclusive perspective and the ability to see how the individual student's needs can best be met. You provide forward-looking feedback to students aimed at development and support them according to their individual needs. You have clear classroom leadership and are a positive role model for our teenagers. You are flexible and have good collaboration skills, easily creating good relationships and cooperating with students, guardians, the work team, the school's health team, and school management.
